Because of your amazing generosity during the last 24 hour marathon fund-raiser, we finished 43rd out of 678 organizations taking part and 3rd among 238 medium sized non-profits! Without you, we could not do what we do for our animal friends.
We will try to call and thank each of you personally and out of respect to those of you who asked for anonymity, or did not provide a phone number , please accept this post as our most sincere “Thank-you ” for your generosity , from all of us at the Wildlife Center of SW Florida (formerly, the Wildlife Center of Venice).
Watch for our exciting new web site, coming very soon. Stay tuned !
The Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida does not receive any funding from federal, state, or local governments. It is only through the generosity of individuals like yourself that we can continue our work to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Florida’s injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife.
This pelican was rescued from a tangle of fishing line and brought to The Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida for rehabilitation and release.
The Giving Challenge is one of the best ways you can support The Wildlife Center of Southwest Florida (formerly the Wildlife Center of Venice). This support helps us continue our important work of saving thousands of injured and orphaned animals every year.
Your donation from $25 to $100 will be matched dollar for dollar; this means that if you give $100 the Community Foundation of Sarasota will donate another $100 to the Wildlife Center for a total of $200. It is an amazing chance.
Even better, every family member can give a separate donation on different credit cards. So, if I give $100 and my wife gives $100 and our son gives $100, that $300 becomes $600 for the Center.
Or Go to: GivingPartnerChallenge.org
and type Venice Wildlife in the top right black search box and click
the button. It will load the link for the Wildlife Center. Click on the
Wildlife Center of Venice and then click on “Donate” to make your
donation with your credit or debit card.
If you
can, try to make your donation at exactly 12:00 Noon on the 1st day (the
28th), we will get a nice bonus if we are one of the first to reach
fifty donors.
If you are uneasy about making the donation on a web site, contact us at
(941) 484-9657 while the Challenge is running and we will lend
assistance. We want this to be a huge success, and we will help any way
we can.
The COVID-19 CARES Act allows for a $300 above-the-line deduction on
your 2020 taxes for cash charitable contributions made to 501(c)(3)
non-profit organizations for taxpayers who take the standard deduction.
In 2019 we rescued over 5,400 animals. That is more than 100 rescues a
week. No matter what happens, we will continue to our job and rescue
each and every animal in need in Southwest Florida. We cannot do this without you.
Until the Challenge begins on Tuesday the 28th at Noon you can watch
