My name is [John] Custer (yes, I am related to the old Western general).
I am a multidisciplinary designer, born 'n' raised in Texas, and now living and working in New York City.
I am currently freelancing around the city, along with acting as a contributor to UnderConsideration's Brand New and Quipsologies. The cherry on top of it all is that I will be a TA/co-teacher with Gail Anderson during the 2012/2013 year at SVA.
In the past I have had the chance to work and collaborate with several stellar people and places including: The New York Times, Nike, Pentagram, COLLINS:, Rodrigo Corral Design, Project M, Ed Nacional, Tim Goodman, Wieden+Kennedy, Little Fury, Michael Freimuth, PS212, Oliver Munday Group and many more.
All said and done I spend most of my time waiting for the day Ferrari calls me to be their new test driver while drinking an Old Fashioned and playing Tetris—current high score: 436,590.
On that note, I am available and seeking freelance and/or full time opportunities, challenges, and Tetris duels. I would love to hear what you have say if you have the guts to say it.
